Our Penny Pledge Program is trauma-informed and focuses on providing youth with the tools, skills, and language needed to
#ShatterTheStigma and help save lives.

Why the Program Works

We define success in lives we’ve changed, and individuals that we’ve reached. To date, over 30,000 people have taken our signature Penny Pledge. See the results for yourself in our 2021/2022 Impact Report below.

The Penny Pledge Program

The Penny Pledge Program has been designed and adapted for grades 4-12. The Elementary School level of the program takes place during three 45-minute classroom sessions and the Middle and High School level of the program takes place during a single, one-hour presentation.

Testimonials

"I learned that you are never

alone and that it’s okay to reach out for help! I also learned the strategies and resources I have access to when I’m struggling."

- Student

"My students absolutely loved the presentation. It really made them think about what other kids may be going through."

- Social Worker

"It has become increasingly more important to have these discussions about mental health and mental illness. I cannot thank Kid in the Corner enough for transforming a tragic situation into an opportunity to educate others."

“Anything that's human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting and less scary.”
