Kid in the Corner, along with Theater Artists Studio
and Greasepaint Youth Theater, is proud to present
The 2nd Annual Fundraiser and the Arizona Debut of the Off-Broadway play
Why did we choose this organization and what does it mean to us?
When I couldn’t commit to making the changes I needed for myself to have self worth, dignity, and the kind of mental health that would enable me to create a healthy intimate relationship at the age of 40, as the mother of three daughters who were between the ages of 2 and 8 years old, my children became my why. I couldn’t bare to pass on a legacy of low self worth, powerlessness, codependence, and emotional dysfunction.
Now, almost 13 years later, it is important to me that as a generation of women, Dating With Dignity and our clients continue to stand behind supporting young girls and boys of today so that they can avoid the mental health challenges most of us faced ourselves.
Between 2014 and 2019 we raised almost half a million dollars to empower adolescent girls in Uganda, Afrida, ultimately enabling Just Like My Child to become self sustaining.
Now, as a proud supporter of Kids In the Corner, we have raised more than $16,500 in 2020 and firmly believe that with your help during this event, we can work together to change the story for other kids in the corner, whomever they may be, wherever they are, by offering access to the best resources and information, consistent kindness campaigns, peer to peer outreach programs, and family and community support opportunities. With the pandemic clawing at our heels, this work has never been more important for young people.
If you have ever dreamed of bringing more light and love in the world, one of the best ways to turn up the light inside of you is to help us reach our $10,000 fundraising goal to
